BEFORE THEY SNAP
Belts & hoses,
replaced before they fail.
Visual check on every oil change. Serpentine belts, timing belts, accessory belts, coolant hoses, vacuum hoses — replaced when they’re tired, not when they leave you stranded.
Hearing or seeing any of these?

Squealing on startup
High-pitched noise that fades after a few seconds. Usually a glazed or stretched serpentine belt — easy fix when caught early.
Visible cracks
Rubber hardens and cracks, especially in Florida sun. If you can see cracks running across the belt, it’s overdue.
Coolant leak
Sweet smell, puddle under the car, or temp gauge climbing. Usually a radiator hose or heater hose. Quick to replace.
High-mileage timing belt
Most engines specify 60k–105k miles. Snap one on an interference engine = bent valves = expensive lesson.
Belts & hoses we replace.
Visual check is always free.
Serpentine belt
Drives the alternator, A/C compressor, power steering, water pump. Most common failure point. Cheap to replace, expensive to ignore.
Timing belt
Critical interval service. On interference engines, a snapped timing belt bends valves and totals the engine. We follow manufacturer intervals.
Accessory belts
Older cars have separate belts for A/C, power steering, alternator. We replace what’s tired, leave the rest alone.
Tensioners & pulleys
Usually replaced with the belt. A bad tensioner ruins a brand-new belt within weeks.
Hoses
Radiator, heater, vacuum, fuel. Inspected every visit — replaced when soft, swollen, or cracked. Saves you a tow.
STRANDED IS EXPENSIVE
